Public prerelease

Choose the installer for the familiar Windows experience, the full portable archive for zero prerequisites, or Lite for one small executable. All three x64 builds run the same Cascade Vault application.

Choosing Lite?

Install Microsoft’s .NET 10 Desktop Runtime for Windows x64 first. The full portable ZIP and setup EXE already include their runtime.

The clean application source archive contains 259 project files, including the setup and Lite packaging scripts, and excludes the separate website, generated build outputs, caches, packaged binaries, and Git metadata.

Before you install

Security-sensitive beta.

The x64 setup completed an observed per-user install, launch, uninstall, and cleanup smoke test. The Lite executable completed a launch test. Windows ARM64 and both macOS architectures remain runtime-untested in this workspace.

Every executable and MSIX remains unsigned. Windows may show Unknown Publisher or SmartScreen warnings. macOS signing, notarization, Gatekeeper, VoiceOver, and physical-device validation have not occurred. No production signing identity is currently available.

There is no password recovery. Ordinary deletion is not secure erasure. Keep backups and test a recovery before removing originals.
